My blogging and business goals for 2016
One of my favourite parts of the new year is the resolutions. That might sound a little strange but I think hey are amazing. A lot of people associate new years resolutions with failure because many people give up after the first month or so.
But that first month when everybody is motivated and everybody is working on them. I love that vibe of everybody trying to make their dreams come true.
So these are my goals for 2016!
Release an info product
I have so many ideas and plans for products like this but making them can be quite the challenge. In 2016, I want to release my first info product!
I’m either going for an ebook on drawing or a course on blogging. Let me know which of the two you think would be better if you want to help me out.
Create more for my Etsy store
I created some items and then I got stuck. I got very insecure about if I was good enough and kept thinking in terms of what would sell and what wouldn’t.
It is quite a tough spot to be in and I think that is really limited my creative mind. To just think about what people would want to buy really stressed me and I started to enjoy creating less and less.
In 2016, i want to create things I enjoy without limits.
This holiday I already started with painting and drawing a lot more and I think that the work I create that ways is not just a lot better but also has more feeling to it.
I can’t wait to share and upload it for you now that my break is over.
Getting a system
Related to that I want to reply rethink m system for writing this blog. I love writing and connecting but right now it takes up most of my time. My original plan was not for my blog to be the main focus. I really wanted to have a lot of time painting and drawing and somehow I lost that along the way.
So one of my goals is to make a system or routine so that I can still deliver the content for my blog but while still leaving a lot of time to paint.
Growing my blog
This is more of an all time goal but I hope to really grow my blog in 2016! I would love for it to be a serious business and I’m working hard on it!
So one of my main growing goals is getting over 1000 views a month. I have had around 600 views in both Oktober and November so getting to 1000 should be a realistic goal.
I think that getting 1000 views a month is the dream of most bloggers so it would be great to make that goal this year.
Updating old content.
Another very important goal I have is to update and expand old content on this blog. Not only is my writing terrible in some pieces. I also think that some of my old content has great potential but just hasn’t reached it yet.
So simply said I want to rewrite, update and expand old blog post so that this blog can be a better hub of amazing information and resources.
If you have any particular pieces which you think could use more information or questions about any of them that you would like to have answered I would love to hear them.
Last I want to say that whatever your goals are, I hope you reach them this year! I would love to hear yours in the comments (whatever they are )!
I wish everybody a lovely, amazing and healthy 2016. Happy new year!
Good luck, Sofia ! I came to visit from Janice Wald’s blog.
Happy New Year !

I also love resolution time! I always feel so hopeful and I’ve made lasting resolutions and real change in my life. I enjoyed reading your goals and understand how you started “creating for the etsy shop” and then were a bit demotivated. It’s why I am always hesitant to open the online shop. I don’t want to lose that – creating what I’m inspired to create. Good luck with your shop. Don’t forget to always provide links to your shop within your blog posts. You have the best chance of getting sales from your audience, so make it easy for them to find your shop. Best of luck!
I think it is a trap for most artist who start doing it a job, to lose joy in the process itself! But I already feel that I turned it around a lot by trying to really draw anything I think of and worrying about selling later!
Also thank you so much for that tip. You are so right, I should really remember that! 🙂
Thank you for reading!
